Saturday 8th January 2017 – Portrush/White Rocks (6.2 miles)
Bit misty & overcast in Portrush this morning as we headed towards Ramore Head past an almost deserted harbour.
On reaching the Arcadia we took a detour to Panky Doos for morning coffee – very cute little café, beautiful décor, delicate china cups & saucers, and delicious pancakes!
But before we got too comfortable, we picked up our walk again & headed towards the East Strand beach which was full of walkers! The day was brightening up & was very spring-like.
On reaching the White Rocks we walked up the steps to the viewing point to get some great views from the Coast Road. Our return journey simply involved retracing our footsteps back along the beach.
We came across a beached seal pup but thankfully we also witnessed it returning to the sea!
A lovely beach walk with friends – a great start to January & the new year!
